Police say missing Georgia toddler Quinton Simon is now dead. His 22-year-old mother, Leilani Simon is identified as the ‘prime suspect’ behind his disappearance.

Quinton Simon, a little Georgia boy who had been missing for more than a week, is reportedly believed to have passed away, according to the police. The mother of the boy, Leilani Simon, 22, was named as the primary suspect in the case by the Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) on Wednesday night, but no arrests or charges had been brought.

On October 5 at 6 a.m., Quinton was last seen alive. A few hours later, he was reported missing.

His mother had stated that when she awoke, her young son was gone. Danny Youngkin, her fiancé, informed authorities that he last saw the toddler at 6 am.

One of Quinton’s babysitters, Diana McCarta, said she received a text early that morning, at 5:30am tell her she did not need to come over to watch him that day.
