One Zeeland kid was taken to the hospital in severe condition after a car accident in Holland Township.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred at 12:46 p.m. on Thursday at the junction of 96th Avenue and Northwind Drive.
According to deputies, a 17-year-old Zeeland boy driving a Subaru drove out into the path of a 57-year-old Zeeland man who was driving a gravel truck north on 96th Avenue.
According to the sheriff’s office, the 17-year-old was trapped inside the Subaru and had to be freed by responding fire crews before being taken to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in severe condition.
According to a report from the sheriff’s office, both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
