Coimbatore Car Accident: One dead following cylinder blast in car near temple.
One person died on the spot after a Maruti 800 vehicle with LPG cylinders exploded in Ukkadam in Coimbatore district.
The incident happened near the Kottai Eswaran temple in Ukkadam early Sunday, October 23.
Emergency crews flocked to the scene to put out the flames after the incident, which happened at around 4 am close to the temple. Forensic investigators are investigating the wrecked remnants of the car to determine what caused the explosion.
A police squad has hurried to Pollachi after initial inquiries revealed that the police had located the owner of the car.
The deceased victim is yet to be identified, as investigations are ongoing.
