Car Accident Buffalo, NY: Four teens killed in tragic solo crash in Buffalo.
Authorities have now confirmed four teenagers were killed following a one-car crash in Buffalo early Monday.
Excessive speed is believed to be a factor in the crash which took place at 6:40 a.m. near where the 33 Expressway and Route 198 meet, authorities said.
According to Buffalo Police Department Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia, a Kia Sportage that had been reported stolen on Sunday night was carrying six passengers when it collided with a wall on the freeway.
According to police, three passengers passed away at the site, while the fourth passed away at ECMC. The ages of the four victims range from 14 to 17.
The 16-year-old who was allegedly driving and not using a seatbelt was given medical attention before being released from ECMC and taken into custody by BPD.
He will reportedly face charges, according to the police.
