John McGale Obituary – Car Accident: Offenbach, Montreal guitar legend/performer, John McGale dies following “tragic” crash.
John was a brilliant musician and a magnificent person. He always had a smile on his face, especially when he was playing the blues.
According to reports, John McGale was involved in a “bad” car accident from which he sustained severe injuries.
66-year-old McGale sustained severe injuries after crashing his car in Lacolle, Quebec on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
The Surete du Quebec reportedly received a call about the single-vehicle crash around 2:45 a.m.
The SQ confirmed later in the day that McGale died of his injuries.
John was the President of music band, Offenbach.
Offenbach is a Canadian blues rock band, initially active from 1969 to 1985. Following a successful reunion tour in 1996, the band released a new album in 2005.
The announcement of John’s tragic death was flooded by heartfelt tributes and condolences across social media. He will be sorely missed.

“Montreal guitar legend/performer great player and great guy who always had funny and amazing stories. John was kind enough to invite me to guest on his Extreme Guitars album, which was so fun. He had me soloing on a few tracks,” another post read.
