Cody will be remembered as an all around good person. He was training to become a supervisor.
According to Chattanooga Police in a media release, 27-year-old Brian Simmons, an employee at the Shallowford postal facility, had a dispute with his supervisor. The release says “after a verbal exchange,” Simmons shot the victim several times and fled the scene. He then drove into a business on Highway 153 and crashed.
Police found him dead on the scene. Police confirmed he shot himself.
The Chattanooga Postal Workers Union says the man who died in the Shallowford Road Post Office shooting, Cody Ransom, was training to be a supervisor.
