Miller High School Shooting: Active shooter reports in Miller High School dismissed as a hoax.
According to Corpus Christi Police Department in a media release, at approximately 1:31 pm, on Friday, November 4, 2022, a report of an active shooter was called in for the campus of Miller High School. The entire campus was cleared by police personnel.
“We can confirm that there is no threat to the school and there are no injuries. We can also confirm that this call was a hoax, the source of the call is currently being investigated,” police said in a news release.
The safety and security of our citizens is our highest priority, and we take all threats made toward our campuses, students, and staff seriously.
Students are safe and will be released per CCISD protocol.

Officers were dispatched to Miller High school located at 1 Battlin Buc for reports of a shooting in progress. Upon receiving the call, CCPD responded and secured the perimeter and immediately began clearing the campus.
At this time, officers have found no evidence to suggest there is an active threat or that a shooting occurred at the location. Although we believe the phone call was a hoax, officers will conduct a thorough search of the campus.
