According to an online obituary, Claude England passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. However, his cause of death was not disclosed.

“I was priveliged to have had many tennis times with claude , having nice lunches with him and his mum and dad in wellington New Zealand. He was so short but had the heart of a lion and his love for the game as a player and a coach was one of a kind,” a tribute post shared via Facebook read.
