A single-vehicle collision that happened yesterday night in Fairfax Station claimed the lives of two children and critically injured another.
16-year-old Ariana Haftsavar has been unofficially identified as one of the deceased victims.

One victim was extricated by fire and rescue services, and she was transferred to a local hospital with injuries that were thought to be life-threatening. Two other Lexus occupants were pronounced dead at the site.
Detectives initially discovered the driver was taking Lee Chapel Road north. The sedan’s driver lost control as it topped a hill, drove off the road, and the car came to rest on its roof. Detectives initially think speed played a role in the collision.
