An online obituary on Saturday, January 21, 2023, announced the passing of fiction writer Paul La Farge who had been ill for some time.
Paul is the son of Tom La Farge and Wendy’s stepson.
Paul La Farge writes novels, short stories and essays which mix genre and ‘literary’ elements, and explore the expressive power of form. La Farge is the author of the novels The Night Ocean, The Artist of the Missing, Haussmann, or the Distinction, and Luminous Airplanes.
“My beloved, brilliant friend Paul La Farge passed away this week. He was one of the most inventive, imaginative, adventurous, and creative people I’ve been lucky to know,” Amanda Stern wrote via a Facebook post.
