Gary Edison Death – Cause of Death: Man, dog killed in Council Bluffs house fire.
The victim of the horrific house fire on Wednesday night has been identified by the Council Bluffs Fire Department.
Gary Edison, 70, and his dog were discovered dead in the charred ruins, according to the authorities.
Firefighters arrived at the scene of a building fire near Huron Circle and Black Hawk Street around 8:49 p.m.
Responders said that after the fire was put out, they carried out a search and rescue operation with the knowledge that someone might still be trapped inside.
The cause of the incident is being looked into, according to fire officials.
