Irene Durand-Bryan Obituary News – Death: Woman killed in fatal Acton hit and run.
Authorities in Acton have named the pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Monday.
Irene Durand-Bryan, 66, was hit by a white Ford van in front of her home at at 11:45 a.m., according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and interim Acton Police Chief James Cogan. The van left the scene of the collision, but the driver, an Acton man in his 60s, eventually came back and turned himself in to police.
According to the authorities, Durand-Bryan was taken to Emerson Hospital in Concord where she later passed away.
