Chuck Kumalaa Obituary News: Marion, OH man loses mental battle with himself; Leaves “Today is the day” note on Facebook.

Chuck Kumalaa of Marion, Ohio, lost a mental battle with himself and left behind 4 kids and 6 grandchildren, Chuck’s son, William wrote in a fundraiser page.

On Monday, February 6, 2023, Chuck left a suicide note titled “Today is the day,” on his Facebook timeline. In the note which now has more than 18, 000 reactions, Chuck said he has decided to “end this miserable existence that I call my life.”

“Some people will be hurt by this and I’m very sorry, but I’m sure that’s what most people are used to with me, sorrow and disappointment. To my kids, I do love you guys. I’m sorry I’m leaving such a mess. Please remind the grandbabies of me every now and then, but I’m sure they’ll forget me soon,” the note reads further.

Chuck mentioned he misses his wife, Jennifer.

In the closing paragraph of the note, he wrote “I am in my truck at the Love’s truckstop in Ottawa Kansas.” It is believed that is where he took his life.

He will be remembered as an amazing father, friend, and husband.
