The Roanoke Police Department reports that a man was declared dead in Northwest Roanoke on Thursday night following a motorcycle-vehicle collision.
Around 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, officers said they went to the scene of the collision near 16th Street and Syracuse Avenue NW. Police claimed that when they arrived on the site, they discovered the motorcycle’s rider to be unconscious.
RPD reports that the biker was declared dead at the site by Roanoke Fire-EMS workers. The identify of the victim was kept private.
According to officials, the second car’s driver was taken elsewhere for medical attention. Their condition has not changed.
