Lady Primrose Potter Car Accident: Philanthropist Lady Primrose Potter rescued off the banks of the Yarra River following Sunday evening crash.
Philanthropist Lady Primrose Potter was rescued after her Mercedes went off a road and into the water in Melbourne. She was hauled up the banks of the Yarra River by a brave stranger.
Around 7 o’clock on Sunday evening, the 92-year-old was driving her Mercedes E200 when she collided with another car, fled along Alexandra Avenue, and fell into the river. Paul Cavaiulo helped her open the door and get to the other side of the knee-deep water.
Cavaiulo saw the event happen and claimed that Potter “ploughed” into the river after clipping his car.
Primrose Potter, Lady Potter AC is an Australian philanthropist and arts administrator. She is particularly associated with The Australian Ballet. She is the widow of Sir Ian Potter.
