Aurora, MO Motorcycle Accident: Four killed, seven in critical condition following Lawrence County, Missouri crash.
In a Saturday morning collision in Lawrence County, Missouri, involving a car and five motorbikes, four persons perished and seven others suffered significant injuries.
Three miles north of the Aurora city limits, at around 11:20 a.m., a 2016 Toyota Corolla crossed the middle line of Missouri Highway 39.
Theresa Manetzke, 51, the driver of the vehicle, has been held for medical attention. According to a Missouri State Highway Police arrest report, she is accused with one count of felony DUI resulting in the deaths of two or more persons as well as one count of failing to drive on the correct side of the road.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Police, the Corolla struck two Harley Davidsons and three Honda motorcycles when it crossed the middle line.
The collision caused all five motorcycles to flip over, ejecting all 10 of the riders and drivers. A motorcycle on the group caught fire.
Four of the victims’ deaths were certified by the Lawrence County Coroner less than an hour after the collision: driver Kameron Hale, 28, passenger Linda Anderson, 61; James Olmsted, 59; and an unidentified 17-year-old girl who was riding with Olmsted.
Seven people were hurt, six of whom were adults and one of them was a 16-year-old girl. To Springfield hospitals, they were all flown.
According to the crash report, all of the drivers and passengers were Aurora, Missouri citizens.
