Benjamin Turner Motorcycle Accident Springfield, MO: Victim identified in fatal motorcycle crash at the intersection of Kimbrough Avenue and Battlefield Road.
The guy who died in a motorbike accident on Friday night near the intersection of Kimbrough Avenue and Battlefield Road has been identified by Springfield police.
Benjamin Turner, a 23-year-old Springfield resident riding a motorcycle, was reportedly traveling west on Battlefield from National Avenue. A white Toyota Tundra pulled out in front of Turner traveling east by the time Turner arrived at the vicinity of a Kum & Go gas station.
Turner allegedly hit a concrete median after swerving to the left to avoid hitting the Tundra, according to SPD. Turner then collided with a Toyota 4Runner being operated by a Missouri woman from Kissee Mills.
After being transferred to the hospital, Turner passed away. He was, according to the police, donning a helmet at the time of the collision.
Police invite anyone with knowledge to get in touch with the Springfield Police Department as they continue their investigation.
