Chloe McCully Obituary Wilmington, IL: Teen driver dies in rollover crash at Lorenzo Road and Cooper Road.
In the accident on Saturday night, a Wilmington teen was killed and her two passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. At Lorenzo Road and Cooper Road in Wilmington Township, a single vehicle rolled over.
Will County Coroner Laurie Summers identified the driver as Wilmington resident Chloe L. McCully, 17, on Sunday morning. Just before 9 o’clock on Saturday night, she was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
Summers claims that the fatality occurred 550 feet west of Cooper Road on Lorenzo Road. When McCully’s car left the road, flipped over, and hit a fixed object, it was moving westbound on Lorenzo.
Fire departments from Coal City and Wilmington arrived on the scene. The incident was labeled as a tragic big car accident with a pin-in on the social media platform Chicagoland Fireground.
In response, the Will County Sheriff’s Office arrived to look into the fatality.
