Coventry, RI Car Accident: Two injured in Wednesday morning crash in the area of 500 Arnold Road.
After a violent accident in Coventry on Wednesday, two persons were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Just after 9:15 a.m., a collision took place around 500 Arnold Road. Police were informed by witnesses that one of the cars veered into oncoming traffic and collided with the second car.
According to police, the second vehicle’s driver was trapped as a result. Firefighters managed to extricate her from the car, and she was then taken by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital with critical but not life-threatening wounds.
According to police, the other motorist was also rushed to Rhode Island Hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident’s cause is still being looked into. According to police, the driver who over the double yellow lines didn’t exhibit any signs of intoxication.
