On Thursday night in Winchester, two people were critically hurt in a car accident that left one person dead.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the tragic collision occurred at 9:02 p.m. near Keller Road and Winchester Road (Highway 79).
The incident involved two cars, but the specifics of what happened next were not immediately clear. Three patients were discovered by the firefighters who arrived at the scene.
Sadly, one patient passed away at the scene of the collision. One person needed to be evacuated to the hospital for treatment after suffering serious injuries.
The third patient was taken to the hospital by ground ambulance despite sustaining significant injuries as well.
