Leighana Malpass Obituary – Car Accident: Chatham woman killed in Pittsylvania County crash.
According to Virginia State Police, an 18-year-old was died in a two-vehicle collision in Pittsylvania County on Thursday.
At the intersection of Rt. 649 and U.S. 29 in Pittsylvania County, according to the police, a collision took place.
According to authorities, Leighana Malpass of Chatham was operating a Mazda 6 when she crossed U.S. 29 to make a left turn and failed to yield to the right-of-way. As a result, the driver of a Ford F-250 moving south struck her.
Malpass died at the scene. The F-250’s driver was unharmed.
