Macy Edwards Car Accident – Funeral: In loving memory of Wynyard woman who died two months after horrific crash.
On Tuesday 28th March 2023, 22 year old Macy Edwards was heading home from a Tour Guiding training course in Launceston, when she was involved in a horrific car accident that left her fighting for her life.
She was transported urgently to Hobart Hospital, where she had specialized medical care while in an induced coma.
Ms. Edwards was transported to Melbourne after becoming stable despite having shattered ribs, her pelvis, her collarbone, and her heart.
Tragically, a representative for the Edwards family revealed on Friday that Ms. Edwards had passed away after spending 10 weeks in the hospital.
“It is with overwhelming heartbreak that we let you know that yesterday Macy passed away surrounded by her family,” they said.
“On Monday 19 June we will celebrate Macy’s life at a service held at 1pm at C3 Church, 30 Austin Street, Wynyard,” her family said.
