Vallejo Motorcycle Accident: 47-year-old Crockett motorcyclist dies in wrong-way crash on Nebraska Street.
In an accident with an SUV on Sunday in a Vallejo neighborhood, a motorcyclist perished, according to authorities.
Just east of Shasta Street, on the 1300 block of Nebraska Street, there was an accident. According to Vallejo Police, a 2009 Suzuki was traveling west on Nebraska Street when it collided with a 2010 Ford SUV that was also traveling west on Nebraska Street and turning left into a private driveway.
Investigators found that the motorbike driver tried to pass the SUV by traveling westbound in the eastbound lane when it collided with it on the driver’s side.
According to the police, the motorcyclist, a 47-year-old Crockett resident, passed away from his injuries on the spot. Until his family was informed, his identity was kept a secret.
A 47-year-old Vacaville resident and the driver of the Ford remained on the site and assisted with the investigation.
Police reported that there was no sign of drugs or alcohol involvement in the collision.
