Nicole Baker anchored morning newscasts at the ABC affiliate in Savannah, Georgia, and the NBC affiliate in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, before joining WJZ. She recently joined CBS DFW as its newest anchor.
Her investigative piece uncovering abuse and staffing inadequacies at one of the country’s largest nursing home chains led to significant improvements when she was working in Savannah.
Nicole worked in newsrooms at WSB-TV and CNN Headquarters in Atlanta before graduating with honors from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She was accepted into a graduate journalism program at New York University.
She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Nicole enjoys traveling, painting, and discovering Maryland. She enjoys using social media and spending time with her maltipoo, Jackson.
