Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, was assaulted during a house invasion in San Francisco early on Friday morning and is currently being treated at a hospital.
The suspected assailant “violently assaulted Mr. Pelosi” after breaking into the home, according to Speaker Pelosi’s office. The 82-year-injuries’ old’s full degree was not disclosed.
The criminal suspect was detained.
The attacker is in prison, and the reason for the incident is being looked into, according to a spokesman for Pelosi. Paul is still receiving treatment at the hospital, and he is “expected to make a full recovery,” the author continues.
The suspected assailant is said to have used a hammer during the assault, according to CNN.
We don’t know if Speaker Pelosi was the target of this attack, since she wasn’t home at the time.
