Steve Greer Death – Cause of Death: All-America Lineman at Georgia Bulldogs and longtime assistant coach, Steve Greer has passed away following a courageous battle with ALS. He was 74 years old.
Greer was on the 1968 SEC Championship team and a top assistant on the Bulldogs run of SEC titles in the early 80s, including the 1980 National Championship team. He was inducted into the Circle of Honor in 2014.
Coach Steve Greer will go down as one of the greatest to ever wear the G. My first boss and mentor at UGA. I will forever be grateful to your guidance, love, and wisdom you shared with me and my family! He embodied everything it means to be a Bulldog!
