Jimmy Taylor Death – Obituary: Jimmy Taylor passed away over the weekend, his death was announced across social media on November 8, 2021. Jimmy will be remembered for his work on tv news for decades.

Announcing his death, Lacie Lowry wrote, “We lost a member of the KWTV – NEWS 9 family over the weekend. Photojournalist Jimmy Taylor passed suddenly on Friday night. You saw his work every weekday morning on our newscasts — he was the mastermind behind the camera, executing live shots with our reporters. He’s worked in tv news for decades…. 22 of those in the OKC metro. Our thoughts are with his children and family.”

Jimmy Taylor worked with KWTV – NEWS 9 for more than 3 years as a Photojournalist. He has been a television news photojournalist for over 25 years, Gathering great knowledge on his profession.

Jimmy is the former Associate Director of Region 7 of the N.P.P.A. He has extensive training and knowledge on Avid and Adobe Editing systems. Addition to this, he has also been trained extensively on the operation and safety of E.N.G. Trucks.

In March 1993, Jimmy worked as Chief Photographer for KSWO-TV, he left in 1998. In 1998, he worked as Chief Photographer for WSIL-TV till August 2000. In year 2000, he worked as Asst. Chief Photographer for KOKH-TV till October 2008. He worked for KOCO-TV as a Photographer in 2008 till 2018. After which he picked up a job in
KWTV News9 working as a Photojournalist/Editor till he died in 2021.

“I’m shocked and saddened to hear about a former KOCO colleague and photographer Jimmy Taylor who passed away suddenly today.
My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Robbie, his children and co-workers at News 9 in OKC.” Patrina Adger wrote.

Jimmy Taylor funeral arrangement are still pending at the moment…. Sending prayers to the family and friends.
