Amanda Bynes popular American actress has been suffering from mental illness for a long time although her health has improved as of 2022.

She began her career as a young actress on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That.

She became more popular after she spin-off series The Amanda Show.

Amanda made her first appearance as professional actress in a television advertisement for Buncha Crunch sweets when she was seven years old. She has also appeared on stage as Annie.

In July 2013, after an incident involving a self-made fire she was admitted to the hospital for a 72-hour mental health evaluation.

Amanda was laterndiagnosed with mental illness, Amanda had a history of erratic behavior, including hit-and-run and DUI instances.

According to sources, her parents stated she had schizophrenia and spent $1.2 million in just a few months in mid-2013.
However in 2013, she was placed under a temporary conservatorship after a series of mental health and substance abuse issues.
