Cedric Robinson Death – Cause of Death: Former Queen’s Guide to Morecambe Bay sands, Cedric Robinson passed away on Friday, November 19. He was 88 years old.
As the Queen’s Guide to the Sands for many years he helped thousands of people across the sands.
“Cedric was the Queen’s Guide to the Sands for many years and during that time he safely escorted thousands of Bay Hospitals Charity walkers across the bay, helping us to raise funds in support of University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust,” Bay Hospitals Charity shared. “He was one of life’s true gentlemen, with such interesting stories to tell as well as being such a kind hearted person.”
Cedric was became the 25th guide from 1963 until 2019, before Michael Wilson, a 46-year-old local fisherman, was appointed as his successor in April 2019.
“Our dear friend of nearly 25 years, the incredible Cedric Robinson MBE passed away peacefully yesterday and joined his beloved Olive who we lost few months ago. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this end of an era for such two incredible people. They shall be greatly missed from our lives.”
