Chris Vosters is the newest sign in, he is appointed the next broadcaster for Play by Play by Chicago Blackhawks.
Different persons are curious to know who Chris Vosters is, he is chosen as the new television play-by-play announcer for the Chicago Blackhawks. Vosters takes over for Pat Foley, a Chicago institution and Hall of Fame broadcaster who is retiring at the end of the season after 39 years.
The formal announcement was made during NBC Sports Chicago’s broadcast on Sunday.
Chris Vosters, his 30 years of announcer is an aspiring talent who has worked for the Big Ten Network, FOX Sports, ESPN, NBC Sports, and Stadium.
NBC sports also reported that, “he also called ice hockey and sled hockey for NBC Sports during the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
Chris majored in broadcast journalism in college, as per his website. He subsequently earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Wisconsin, and also worked at the university’s cutting-edge student radio station, 91.7-FM WSUM after his graduation.
Chris began his post-college baseball career in quest of on-air reps to improve his delivery and develop his voice.
He took a significant stride forward in 2015 when he accepted the main broadcast role with the Great Lakes Loons, a Dodgers affiliate. Followed by ESPN 100.9-FM WLUN in Midland, Michigan.
The Loons won the Midwest League title in 2016, and Chris was awarded the league’s broadcaster of the year by his colleagues.
Chris also broadcast high school football and basketball, as well as college basketball for Northwood University.
And most prominently Chris was named to the Sportscasters’ Talent Agency of America’s current 30 Under 30 list of the best broadcasters.
Chris Vosters will take over Chicago Blackhawks officially on April 14. Vosters, who is 30 years old, will join the team and believes it is an honor to replace the legendary Pat Foley.
Vosters spoke on the newest episode of the Blackhawks Talk Podcast to explain what this opportunity means to him. “It’s something that, I believe am still soaking in,” Vosters remarked.
“But it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the next voice of the Chicago Blackhawks. Especially taking over for Pat Foley, a Hall of Famer and one of the finest to ever do it.”
“I understand what he means to Blackhawks fans who have grown up listening to him call games, he stated.”
Similarly, Foley stated in a team release that Chris has already begun to establish himself among Blackhawks fans. He believes Chris will be in good hands with Blackhawks television.
Chris Vosters does not appear to have a wife at this time, as there is no record of his getting married. His Instagram page makes no mention of his marital or dating status.
Furthermore, there is no post with a girl that might be interpreted as a suggestion of a romantic relationship.
