Ketanji Brown Jackson is a woman of great Influnce and substance, she is known as the attorney and judge in the United States.
Ketanji has had the privilege of serving as a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit since 2021.
Katanji was born Ketanji Onyika Brown in Washington, D.C, on September 14, 1970, and raised in Miami, Florida, grew up and went to Harvard University for her undergraduate and law school educations, where she worked as an editor for the Harvard Law Review.
She began her legal career with three clerkships, one of which was with United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Stephen Breyer. Before being appointed to the appellate court, she served as a district judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia from 2013 to 2021.
It is reported that Ketajh Brown is the brother of Katanji Brown, who is also an American commercial lawyer, Det. Donny Moses worked for the Baltimore Police Department from October 2001 to May 2008 and was last assigned to the Eastern District, according to a police spokeswoman.

Her brother stated that, “I am not surprised I am here at all. This is the sort of thing my sister was destined to from the very start.”
Ketajh is presently a business attorney with the K&L Gates law firm in Chicago. Requests for comment were not returned.

History was made on Monday when Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee, the first Black woman nominated to the Supreme Court.
Jackson was nominated by President Joe Biden, to be an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court on February 25, 2022, filling the opening left by Breyer’s retirement. Jackson would be the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court if she is confirmed.
Ketanji Brown is the daughter of Johnny Brown and Ellery Brown. Her father, Johnny Brown, worked as a lawyer for the Miami-Dade County School Board, and her mother, Ellery, was the principal of New World School of the Arts.
Jackson’s uncle, Thomas Brown Jr., was sentenced to life in prison for a misdemeanor cocaine offense when she was in college. Years later, Jackson got a law firm to represent him pro gratis, and President Barack Obama commuted his sentence. Calvin Ross, another uncle, was Miami’s police chief, while her parents were seated in the front row.
Her father was the attorney for the Miami-Dade School Board. Her mother was the principal of New World School of the Arts, a magnet public high school.
Jackson ia married to a surgeon, Patrick G. Jackson, and have two children together, whose family is Boston Brahmin, in 1996. She is linked to former House Speaker Paul Ryan through her marriage. Patrick Jackson is a descendant of Jonathan Jackson, a delegate to the Continental Congress, and is related to Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
