Aaron Osthoff Death: Aaron Osthoff of Dubuque, Iowa identified as suspect in attempted murder-suicide in Potosi Village.

On Friday, November 19, Grant County deputies responded to a 911 call at the area on north main street, north of the intersection with County U around 3 a.m. At the caller’s end of the call, dispatcher could hear what sounded like an heated argument.

Upon deputies arrival outside the residence, they heard a gunshot followed by a woman’s scream, before another gunshot followed shortly after. Deputies made their way into the home where they discovered an adult male and female with apparent gunshot wounds.

The male subject who had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound died at the scene, while the female victim who suffered a gunshot wound to the neck was transported to a hospital and currently in stable condition.

The female victim was later identified as 37-year-old Megan Breuer while the deceased suspect was 47-year-old Aaron Osthoff.

The pair were known to each other, but the extent of their relationship is undetermined at the moment, Grant County Sheriff, Nathan Dreckman said.
