On Monday, the USA Weightlifting team announced the passing of its Director of Communications & Content Brandon Penny, via a statement shared on their website.
“With great sadness and broken hearts, USA Weightlifting announces the death of USA Weightlifting Director of Communications & Content Brandon Penny,” the statement read.
His cause of death was not mentioned.
Brandon’s passion, dedication, and commitment to the Olympic & Paralympic movement and the athletes he worked with were evident in everything he did.
He started his position with USA Weightlifting in 2020, he has been a longtime supporter of the sport through his previous work with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC).
