Chris Bouchard Obituary News: Brunswick Man dies in a Tragic Fishing Accident at Peterson Dam in Milton, Vermont.
We are deeply saddened to learn that Chris Bouchard, one of the Eye on the Sky weather team, died last Friday. Chris joined the Eye on the Sky team in 2005, working with Steve Maleski and Mark Breen to deliver daily forecasts until he moved to Burlington in 2012. When he started at the Museum, he had recently graduated from Northern Vermont University (at the time Lyndon State College) where he studied meteorology. Steve remembers Chris as “energetic, whip-smart, endlessly curious about everything in the world around him, he was an avid gardener, an aficionado of rock acts such as Mars Volta, Steve Vai, Buckethead, Primus and other more esoteric talents; a lover of awful movies; a passionate storm chaser; and a superb fisherman to list just a few of his manifold interests. He lived his life richly, and to the fullest as not only his friends but his wife Christina could attest to.” Mark adds, “Chris really influenced the Eye on the Sky program . He brought a fresh look, and LOVED the outdoors. He was a tremendous photographer [who took] some great pictures of lightning!”
