Deputy Sheriff J’Mar Colin Abel Death – Obituary News, Cause of Death
Deputy Sheriff J’Mar Colin Abel of Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama, has passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 20, 2022. He died from injuries sustained in a vehicle crash on County Road 278 between Welch and Standing Rock.
“Deputy Abel was killed in a vehicle crash Monday”, Sheriff Deputies announced.
“He was assisting the Roanoke, Alabama Police Department during a vehicle pursuit. His patrol SUV left the roadway while rounding a curve at about 4:30 pm. The patrol car overturned after striking a ditch on the side of the road. He was tranpsorted to West Georgia Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
“The suspect was apprehended. 24 year old Deputy Abel was killed on the day of his two-year anniversary with the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office. He is survived by his father and fiancée. He marks the 125th Law Enforcement Officer Line of Duty death in 2022.”
