It’s with an extremely heavy heart that we recently lost one of the great characters within the Victorian SUP Community George Thomas.
George was the most recent President of Sup Vic for many years. His passion & enthusiasm for the growth of Paddleboarding within Victoria and his positive outlook on life was genuinely infectious to be around.
Over the past few years GT would always drop into our SUP Warehouse down in Mordialloc for a quick chat, drop off some upcoming Event Flyers for SUP Vic and talk about all things Paddleboarding, his Running Events coming up or just to tell me how good life was living down in ‘God’s Country’ & Paddleboarding with his beloved ‘Peninsula Pod’….
George rode our SK Paddleboards but what was more of an honour for us was that we became close friend’s over the years within the SUP Community.
We’ll all miss you “Mr Prez”. You truly are in ‘God’s Country’ now my friend. Rest Peacefully Mate.
