51-year-old India Wright Christian and 48-year-old Corey Christian have been identified by law enforcement agencies in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, as the couple passed away in an apparent murder-suicide on Tuesday.
According to police, the husband and wife died from obvious gunshot injuries.
The husband Corey Christian was found dead inside an apartment following a long hour of SWAT standoff, the law enforcement agency said.
“It is with deep regret that we must pay tribute to such a phenomenal trailblazer in our community…..India Christian. India Christian was beautiful from the inside out. She was a kindhearted pleasant spirit,” STK, Embrace Life Media wrote in a tribute post shared via social media.
“Former teacher of Peabody. India was the owner of Christian Home Care. Amongst many other accomplishments, India recently earned her PH.D at Point Park University. Our deepest condolences and sympathies are with India’s Family, friends, and everyone who has been affected by such tragedies. India was 51 yrs old. India will be truly be missed. May her loving memory live on forever.”
