It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joseph McKenna, beloved teacher of Theology, voice of Albertus athletics and friend to many. Joe served Albertus Magnus for ten years and loved being a Falcon. Joe believed in the importance of relationships. He cared deeply for the students, his colleagues, and his relationship with God. From morning Chapel to student dances and class trips to the press box; Joe exuded goodness and joy in all that he shared with his fAMily.
The heartfelt love, gratitude, and deepest sympathies of the entire Albertus Magnus community are extended to Joe’s wife Susie and their extended family.
May eternal rest be granted unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon Joe. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
A prayer service will be held for our students on Tuesday morning and counselors will be available in the Center for Innovation and Learning to support the needs of our community.
Plans are currently being made for a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Joe’s Life; details on this event will be shared in a separate communication.
