Josh Olin Death – Obituary: Josh Olin, Mapleton High School, Ashland Ohio Teacher Dies Unexpectedly: According to an online obituary on Sunday, February 19, 2023, Josh Olin has passed away unexpectedly. However, cause of death was not disclosed.
Mourning his passing, one wrote; “Still in disbelief. You never know when it could be your time. Tonight I pray for the Olin family. Your husband and father was a man that I looked up to in many ways and he will be greatly missed. I also pray for my Mapleton family, you are not just my coworkers…many of you are like family. Today, we lost a big part of that family.
Mr. Joshua Olin was one of my mentors. I talked to him often about the art of teaching, but we also discussed the big things in life…sometimes over a cold beer at the end of a difficult week. We shared many of the same struggles and I always felt comfortable talking to Josh about them. Occasionally, we ended up with tears rolling down our faces before we would decide that was enough of that! I often asked him for advise about fatherhood, since his girls were in the stages just ahead of mine. I will greatly miss his advise and encouragement. But, tonight I remember the laughs and great times we had together. I look forward to seeing him again soon…thy kingdom come.”
