Logan Unger Obituary: Marion Township man dies in Heidelberg Twp. motorcycle crash.
A motorcyclist who died after a crash in Heidelberg Township, Berks County on Thursday evening is now identified as 21-year-old Logan Unger from Marion Township.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m., the South Heidelberg Township Police Department was called to the Heidelberg Township intersection of Penn Avenue/Route 422 and Hill Road in response to a report of a motorcycle and SUV collision.
According to a press release from the South Heidelberg Township Police Department, arriving authorities discovered Unger, the motorbike driver, deceased at the site.
The 53-year-old Heidelberg Township lady who was driving the SUV was unharmed.
According to an initial inquiry, the SUV was turning left from the left turn lane on Penn Avenue onto Hill Road as the motorcycle was moving east on Route 422 when they met.
According to authorities, the biker was flung from the bike onto the road when the motorcycle struck the SUV on the rear passenger side. He sported a helmet.
