Mark Rader Car Accident – Obituary News: Manson dies following head-on crash on Iowa Highway 7.
A violent head-on crash between a semitrailer and an SUV early Wednesday afternoon west of Fort Dodge killed one man and strewn wreckage all over a stretch of Iowa Highway 7.
Trooper Paul Gardner of the Iowa State Patrol said that Mark Rader, who lived in Manson and was 42 years old, was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center, where he died Wednesday evening.
Gardner says that Rader was the one who drove a Ford Expedition. He said that Rod Strait, who was driving a Kenworth semitrailer and was from Fort Dodge, was not hurt.
The accident happened on Iowa Highway 7 just east of Kelly Drive at about 12:30 p.m.
Gardner said that Rader was going east when the Ford Expedition lost control, crossed the middle of the road, and hit the truck going west head-on.
