Michelle Ross and Cortney Downey Obituary News – Car Accident: Two killed in “tragic” car accident Garden State Parkway.
LITTLE EGG HARBOR: One person was initially confirmed dead in a two-vehicle crash that happened on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County on Friday night.
The two deceased victims from the head-on collision which happened in the southbound lanes near mile marker 59.3 in Little Egg Harbor Township are now identified as 50-year-old Michelle L. Ross of Asheville, North Carolina, and 32-year-old Cortney L. Downey of Northfield, NJ.
Ross was driving a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander on the Garden State Parkway South, according to an initial inquiry. Driving a Toyota Corolla southbound on the Garden State Parkway was Downey. The Mitsubishi and the Toyota collided head-on in the opposite direction about milepost 59.3. When they collided, the Mitsubishi rolled over.
Both of the drivers died tragically.
The New Jersey State Police are investigating.
