It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my dad, Ray McCanen’s the loving human that he was. passing. He was diagnosed with Dementia, Parkinson’s and Aphasia several years ago. These were tremendously difficult diseases for him to live with but he did so with love, grace, humor and some frustration. In his lucid moments, he was happy and joyful…. because that was just who he was. We will hold these special moments as well as a lifetime of other amazing moments near and dear to our hearts. While we’re incredibly sad he’s no longer with us, and we are also relieved to know he is finally at peace. Heaven gained a big ‘ray’ of sunshine.
We will be hosting his celebration of life in the next 6 to 12 weeks. My family and I wanted to take some time to process this huge loss so that we can properly celebrate the loving human that he was.
