Ricky Leander Phillips Death – Obituary News, Cause of Death
Ricky Leander Phillips, Army Veteran, has passed away unexpectedly. His death has been confirmed by Blount County Veterans Affairs, through an online post. The circumstances surrounding his death has not been made public at the time of this publication.

“We are sad to learn that Army Veteran, Ricky Leander Phillips, recently passed away”, Blount County Veterans Affairs announced.

“Ricky was born in Blount County, TN on October 31, 1958. He was raised in Louisville, TN and he graduated from Everett High School in 1976. Ricky enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard in May, 1981. He served 12 years in Company A, Howitzer Battery, 278th ACR, Tennessee Army National Guard.

“He served as a Cannon Crewmember and Motor Transport Operator in the National Guard. Ricky received he Honorable Discharge in April, 1993. Ricky was employed by Blount County Parks and Recreation at Louisville Point. He was very active with American Legion Post 13 and he started the “Soldiers in Need” benefit.

“Sadly, Ricky passed away on June 6, 2022. He was 63 years old. He was laid to rest at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church Cemetery. We send our sincere condolences to his family. We were very proud of Ricky and his service in the Tennessee Army National Guard. May he rest in peace.”

Friends, colleagues, officials and veterans are sending their condolences and tributes to the family in respect of his death. He will greatly be missed by everyone.
