Thomas Dortch Obituary – Cause of Death: CEO TWD, Inc. and Atlanta Transportation Systems, Thomas Dortch dies at 72.
Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 72, at his home on Wednesday afternoon, February 15, 2023, his family announced. Thomas was faced with a challenging battle with cancer, that took over his body.
Global Women Wealth Warriors, honored Thomas Dortch Jr., in 2021, to present a Lifetime Achievement Award and also for an honor in 2013 Man of Distinction, for his leadership and support in building and rebuilding communities nationwide.
Dortch became civically active during years and in 1986, he joined 100 Black Men of America, a mentoring program intended to improve the quality of life and opportunities for education and employment for African Americans.
He served as chairman of 100 Black Men of Atlanta and became the chairman of 100 Black Men of America’s national board of directors.
He became CEO of the consulting firm TWD, Inc. and Atlanta Transportation Systems, Inc., a Fulton County paratransit company.
