Two Victims Identified in North Lake Park One Dead Other Injuried
After discovering one person dead in a car and another injured, police are looking into a gunshot close to a park.
North Lake Park, which is located at 268 Hope Rd., is where the incident took place, according to Mansfield Police Chief Keith Porch.
Police discovered a car that had struck a stone building close to the park’s entrance, along with two victims—one dead outside the driver’s side door and the other inside.
According to the police, both seemed to have many gunshot wounds.
Authorities have confirmed that EMS took the victim who was discovered outside the automobile to a nearby hospital.
Their current state is unknown.
The body recovered inside the car has not been identified as the victim.
Although detectives are still looking into the hypothesis, police said initial assumptions point to the shooting happening inside the car.
