A day in the life of…

• As a business partner for continuous improvement, you will lead and manage impactful improvement events or initiatives that will deliver the results requested by a business unit or product category or function. This entails engaging with stakeholders or parties requesting your support and understanding their business needs, prescribing or designing an appropriate and practical methodology based on Lean Value Stream tools and practices, organizing the project team and putting in place a governance system to ensure that individual improvement projects are completed and results are delivered.
• The scope on an improvement initiative can be as focused as one process or one stream in the value chain or can be as extensive as business end-to-end or whole value chain. Your good understanding of the key processes and deliverables of each function or stream within the value chain and enthusiasm to connect with the different functions will be crucial to the success of the improvement initiatives you will be guiding and managing.
• The improvement initiatives focus on generating cost savings and/or increasing sales. Your good grasp of the business profit and loss statement is important to be able to drive the initiatives that have direct impact to the financials of a business.
• Continuous Improvement in Nestle is strongly supported by a Center of Competence. In case you need assistance in prescribing the improvement methodology or problem solving tools for a specific situation, you can seek assistance from or work with Lean Value Stream and Problem Solving experts in the organization.
• You will develop Continuous Improvement competency in the organization by implementing the Nestle Continuous Improvement framework.

Position Summary

Joining the Nestlé Internal Audit Team means you will be contributing to the mission to enhance and protect Nestlé’s organizational value by identifying risks, providing objective assurance, advice and insight. You will get to work and train in every area of our business, while travelling in the Middle East and Africa Region to carryout assignments . Job requires  extensive travelling  and could be up to 35 weeks in a year.

A day in the life of…

• From day one, you will have the responsibility to analyze a specific function or process, to develop recommendations of improvement and discuss the same with stakeholders.  Time constraints are tight, as you have between 3-4 weeks in a unit to complete the project. Team members will travel together during the 10-weeks assignment before they rotate. Working and travelling together for three months under demanding circumstances requires a high level of team spirit and tolerance but forms a special bond between the Auditors.
• You will be dealing with professionals at all levels of the company; from operators in a factory to senior management at the Head Office and experience the fascination of interacting with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.
• Auditing in Nestlé Internal Audit is an operational and hands-on job. The underlying principle is actively involving colleagues at the audited unit. This means conducting interviews with all levels of staff to become familiar with the processes and systems, but also includes performing risk analysis and adequate audit tests supported by proper data mining methodologies.
• Identifying weaknesses are the result of your work. As a Nestlé Auditor you have a fascinating opportunity to get to know all activities and functions within  the  Nestlé  Group  –  such    as Marketing & Sales, Supply Chain, Production and Finance  – and all this in the whole Middle East and Africa region.

What Will Make You Successful

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Audit, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or Law
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in French will be an added advantage
• Prior experience in Auditing/Finance/Other Operational roles will be an added advantage.

Requirements

A day in the life of…

Requirements
What will make you successful:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a relevant field; preferably in (but not limited to) a numerical course of study (e.g. Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science); etcetera.
• Minimum of 5 – 7 years experience in a Senior HR Management/Leadership position; preferably gained within a similar FMCG company or alternatively a multifaceted industry experience including Management Consulting (from a highly recognized institution).
• Strong hands-on experience in the management of the following – HR Controlling/Budgeting, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll Management, Tax (particularly PAYE), Pension Administration, Staff Medical/HMO Management, HR Services/Administration.
• Experience as an HR Generalist with an overview/wide exposure to End-to-End HR processes e.g. Talent Management, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Recruitment/Resourcing; etcetera.
• Experience liaising with Unions and other external stakeholders.
• High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ERP tools (e.g. SAP, SuccessFactors, etcetera) and other relevant technology.
• Data-driven individual with excellent analytical skills; including the unique ability to present/generate and effectively interpret multiple data sets.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good relationship management skills – Capability to handle cross functional/hierarchical relationships.
• Strong Service orientation – Willingness to listen and readily lend a helping hand to team members from various backgrounds/levels in the organization.
