Three-time USAC Silver Crown winner Cameron Dodson, was involved in a deadly accident on Sunday December 19, 2021, unfortunately he didn’t survive. Cameron was 33 years old.

He made his last appearance in 2019, driving the 26 Sam Pierce Chevrolet.

“Rip Cameron Dodson. Dude was a force behind the wheel,” Ryan Litt wrote. “He cracked off laps 15 years ago that are still track records to this day. I competed against
him my rookie year in AVSS and still remember the insane lap times he’d turn along with winning almost every race. He set the bar for the rest of us.”

“Mercer Raceway Park fans will remember Cameron Dodson and how the young man flew in his sprint car,” Mike Dutko wrote. “Sadly news has come out that Cam has passed away.”
