Garrett Walker Death: Body of missing University of Alabama student found in river

Garrett Walker Death – Cause of Death: Tuscaloosa police identified body found in the Black Warrior River in Alabama as that of missing University of Alabama student.

20-year-old Garrett Walker of Maryland was last seen at a bar in Tuscaloosa early Sunday, November 7. He was an aerospace engineering student at the University of Alabama.

Clothing believed to belong to Walker was found by search crews before his body was later found by search crew on Tuesday.

Walker was second child of a family of four, he has an older sister and two younger twin brothers, the family’s attorney, Josh Hayes said. “It’s an unbelievably sad story and what is more important is for Garett to be remembered for how he lived not for how he died.”

Investigations are ongoing while autopsy will also be conducted.
