Gary Beikirch Death – Cause of Death: Vietnam war hero and medal of honor recipient, Gary Beikirch dies aged 74.

Medal of Honor recipient Gary Beikirch, who served in the US Army Special Forces in Vietnam died peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, December 26 2021 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Throughout his post Vietnam War life he was very active with helping fellow veterans to be “Welcome Home”.

Beikirch was a medical aidman with the U.S. Army, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for valorous action while serving with Detachment B-24, Company B, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces, on April 1, 1970.

“We mourn the loss of Vietnam War hero and #MedalofHonor  recipient, Gary Beikirch,” U.S. Army Chief of Staff, GEN James C. McConville wrote.

“During an enemy attack on Camp Dak Seang in Kontum Province, Beikirch, with complete disregard for his personal safety, moved through withering enemy fire to save fallen comrades. His legacy will never be forgotten.”
